The book contains new perspectives on the question of how capacity building in these countries can increase the likelihood of success. Relying on the lessons learned from six decades of successful research and experience in capacity building, this book defines the conditions for success and believes that fundamental changes in mentality are a very important aspect for developing countries. At the same time, the book examines the issue of capacity building in relation to entrepreneurship (and in particular women entrepreneurship), the return of immigrants, the serious fight against corruption, and these as key drivers for sustainable development in these countries. This book is the work of a group of research pioneers with experience in capacity building in these countries and all authors have significant experience in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, North America and Europe.
