Abstract
The Global financial crisis has led to explore the causes and consequences, as well as the necessary solutions and to predict such crises in the future. Some of the books and articles dealt with the tasks of the oversight bodies in this area and provided critiques on the oversight practices, oversight rules, and oversight duties. Financial Supervision in the 21st Century and its chapters are based on a collection of articles by authors to explain the strength and weaknesses of financial supervision, mainly in European countries, especially the Netherlands. There are shortcomings that the current review addresses both in terms of content and translation. Most of the articles are related to European countries, especially Scandinavia. The role of articles related to the Netherlands is more prominent in this regard. Given that global financial crises have a role to play in all countries of the world, recognizing the role of observers in preventing financial crises in different countries is very important, and this issue in our country, which in many cases has been linked to problems due to weak regulatory institutions.
